Genique presents 'Dear Diary...' her first solo art exhibition.

'​Art is Freedom'. Freedom is the entity to which one is free and librated to just be. For Genique she sees art as her own freedom and a means of escape from reality.

 

The desire for art has been a gift hidden in Genique from birth and she is now ready to share that gift with the world. She has always been an open book and quite an extrovert but creatively introverted. She always felt and saw art as her secret haven and passion.

 

A piece of art captures more than a moment. It tells a story, it links memories to one another, and it holds pieces of history that no person could ever retell. A single piece of artwork can tell a million stories and is open to interpretation solely through the eye of the beholder. 

 

'Dear Diary...' is a collation of Genique's thoughts that would be written on the pages of a physical diary if she kept one. She looks at Culture, Identity, Faith, Social Justice, Family and Friends. She will be displaying various new pieces of artwork using various mediums, paints and materials on canvas and framed pieces.

 

Genique would like to inspire others to be creative in whatever sphere of their life and use the talents that they have been given and to also colour their world.
